Susan Wynne

Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director (LLS Board of Directors)

Susan Wynne is a highly experienced and respected leader with a career spanning listed companies, private enterprises, corporate organisations, and the political sector. She was appointed to the Board of Litigation Lending Services Ltd (LLS) in 2022, contributing to capital strategy and corporate growth, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2023. As CEO, she brings a strong record of governance, vision, and execution to the leadership of the organisation.

At LLS, Susan is driving the company’s mission to advance access to justice by funding meritorious litigation. Under her leadership, LLS is focused on holding institutions to account and ensuring the legal system works more fairly for individuals and communities.

Susan recently concluded a distinguished career in local government, serving 16 years with Woollahra Council. She held the role of Mayor in 2011/12 and again from 2019 to 2023. In recognition of her service, she was awarded the honorary title of Emeritus Mayor by Local Government NSW in 2024.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an Affiliate of the Governance Institute of Australia, and a Member of Chief Executive Women, Susan is committed to ethical leadership, excellence in governance, and the advancement of women in senior executive roles.

Michael Harris

Chief Financial Officer

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a CPA. Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in various executive financial leadership roles primarily within ASX listed groups as well as internationally. Michael has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions including both public schemes and bolt on integrations, ASX and investor relations, business transformations and a driver of growth initiatives, risk management and strategy.

He has exposure to a diverse range of sectors including financial services, energy, healthcare, property and professional services.

Emma Colantonio

Chief Investment Officer

Emma is the Chief Investment Officer at Litigation Lending Services, leading the firm’s litigation finance strategy and investment management team.
 
As CIO, Emma is responsible for setting investment priorities, directing case selection and risk assessment, and ensuring the disciplined deployment and management of capital across a diverse range of funded disputes, including complex commercial claims, class actions, arbitration, and insolvency litigation.
 
With a background spanning years working in litigation and dispute resolution, Emma has deep expertise in structuring innovative funding solutions for corporates, law firms, and claimants. LLS is recognised for balancing rigorous legal and financial analysis with a pragmatic, results-driven approach to case strategy.
 
At LLS, Emma plays a central role in:

• Defining investment strategy and risk frameworks, ensuring consistency with the firm’s commercial objectives.
• Sourcing and developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with law firms, corporates, and claimants.
• Leading the investment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, precision, and innovation.
  Overseeing portfolio management, from origination to resolution, with a focus on maximising recoveries and client outcomes.
• Engaging with external stakeholders including claimants, investors, boards, and strategic partners.

In addition to her role at LLS, Emma serves as a Director on the Board of the Association of Litigation Funders of Australia, contributing to the development of best practices, governance standards, and the growth of the litigation funding industry in Australia.
 
Prior to joining LLS, Emma was a Senior Associate at MinterEllison, specialising in commercial litigation, and also held in-house legal counsel roles at a leading Australian bank.  Emma is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business degrees from Western Sydney University.

Joshua Ehrenfeld

Senior Investment Manager

Josh is a Senior Investment Manager at Litigation Lending Services, responsible for originating and advancing potential funding matters, driving growth through strategic client engagement and overseeing the evaluation, approval, and management of funded claims.
 
Josh’s background includes extensive experience in managing large-scale and complex commercial disputes across multiple sectors from a career in private practice law.  His legal expertise is complimented by a commercial acumen refined through private startup finance and divestment projects, enabling him to identify innovative solutions that deliver successful litigation funding outcomes and promote access to justice.
 
At LLS, Josh assesses and manages class actions, insolvency claims, commercial disputes, arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolution claims, with a particular focus on consumer conduct claims, negligence claims, contractual disputes, and insolvency related claims.  He collaborates closely with law firms, liquidators, and commercial clients to structure tailored funding solutions suitable for the specific circumstances of each case.
 
Josh holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance) from the University of New South Wales.  Prior to joining LLS, Josh spent 12 years at leading Australian law firm Gilbert + Tobin, as a senior lawyer in their disputes team.  His professional background also includes in-house legal work at one of Australia’s major banks, as well as developing and divesting tech startup ventures and projects.

Nicholas Vardanega

Investment Manager

Nick is an Investment Manager at Litigation Lending Services, responsible for investigating new funding opportunities and managing funded claims.
 
During his time in private practice, Nick worked primarily on large-scale plaintiff-side class actions and insolvencies at leading Australian and US firms. In addition to the day-to-day management of active proceedings, he investigated a wide variety of potential class actions, multiple of which progressed to filing. He has a keen interest in disputes involving consumer law, competition and regulatory issues, financial services, and emerging technology.
 
Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Taxation) from the University of New South Wales. Prior to joining LLS, Nick was a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Employment team at Johnson Winter Slattery.

Ivan Benko

Head of AI & Innovation

Ivan Benko is a technology leader and creative innovator passionate about enabling and empowering human-AI orchestration to apply cognitive decisions at their best, unlocking opportunities for people to deploy their talent, creativity, and strategic thinking where it matters most.

As Head of AI & Innovation at LLS, Ivan is responsible for leveraging and enhancing technology systems to drive decision-making, improve portfolio performance, and accelerate access to justice. He brings over 15 years of experience bridging legal, technology, and product domains, with rare technical depth and commercial acumen.
Most recently, Ivan served as AI Product Manager at King & Wood Mallesons, where he was part of the small team that led Harvey AI’s deployment across 1,200+ users. Working with a variety of teams across the firm, he helped enable increased productivity and efficiency through AI and innovation, whilst improving governance and compliance processes and procedures—experience highly relevant to preparing LLS for the future.

Ivan’s career includes senior roles at a leading technology and media company, Akamai Technologies, and Linius Technologies (where he architected a platform that drove a 300%+ share price increase). At Atlassian, as part of the founding team, he established and grew the company’s Legendary Support team across APAC. He has led Agile transformations, built digital capabilities for global agencies, and delivered innovation at scale across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

Ivan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Curtin University and was selected as an entrepreneur at Antler Australia, one of the world’s most competitive early-stage investor programmes.

Pamela Moriarty

Head of Finance

Pamela joined Litigation Lending in 2016 and brings more than 20 years of experience across the financial services sector, with senior roles in financial control, regulatory compliance, and strategic operations.
 
As Head of Finance, Pamela oversees the financial and business operations that support our business strategy and provides critical financial insights to support decision-making. She upholds rigorous governance and compliance standards that safeguard both claimants and investors.
 
Pamela holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Shalvin Chand

Financial Controller

Shalvin joined Litigation Lending in 2023 and is a highly accomplished and qualified audit and financial accountant, bringing over 14 years of experience gained within top-tier professional and financial services organisations. Throughout his career, he has held senior finance roles in the financial services sector in Sydney, where he developed deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, risk management, and strategic financial planning. His experience spans complex regulatory environments and high-performance finance teams, giving him a strong foundation in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of large-scale organisations.
 
Shalvin plays an integral role in supporting the company’s financial operations, contributing to the effective management and allocation of capital to fund litigation, and in doing so, helping to advance access to justice.
