Class Actions

Types of class actions we fund

LLS is dedicated to funding impactful litigation, including funding class actions to achieve compensation for groups of people with similar claims, which are often unviable to pursue on a standalone basis.

LLS funds a wide array of different types of class actions towards that end, while aiming to have a majority of its invested capital put into social impact and environmental matters.

A number of LLS’s recent matters reflect this focus, including a range of landmark class actions on behalf of First Nations peoples to correct injustices from the past in withholding wages going back nearly 100 years, as well as finally bringing justice to members of the Stolen Generation in the Northern Territory.

Examples of the types of class actions LLS funds include:

Consumer claims
Discrimination claims
Breaches of workplace laws
Product liability claims
Environmental claims
Shareholder claims
